Well yesterday were our interviews with President Beynon, so our p-day ended up being today.
Things are all going well. we have spent last week teaching a large group of people, however when Sunday came around we lost a lot of them.
But as we arrived at church, feeling a little upset for the absence of any investigators, we entered into sacrament meeting we noticed that a recent convert family had invited their neighbors.
There are great people that are very curious about the church. For the past few days we have been teaching them about the Restored Gospel, Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. This has been hard for them to understand, as they have lived a protestant life. However we have hope that they will arrive at the waters of baptism.
Tomorrow we are taking them to the other side of Maceio for a free wedding day that the government has here.
Congrats for the newest member of the family."Marv" or Caleb, as he is called now. Welcome to the gang! or as they say here in Brasil-"é nós na fita!".
Time is flying, there is only one more week left in this transfer. Next transfer will be the World Cup!!! Although it will be taking place in South Africa, all of the streets here are decorated and everyone is preparing for the big games.
Well, I better go, we marked a soccer game with the young men here in a bit.
love ya,
E. Matt Olson
